| Wood & Faux Wood Blinds
As their name suggests, wood blinds are crafted from a variety of natural woods and consist of horizontal louvers (or slats) joined with braided string or decorative cloth tape—traditional “Venetian” construction.
Faux wood blinds use composite materials to create the look of real wood and are, in most cases, a less expensive alternative to real wood options, although true grain appearances may be compromised.
Wood blinds are more substantive than fabric blinds, but are surprising light in weight (whereas composite Faux Wood blinds are a bit heavier). The louvers allow the user to control or completely block out light (or create privacy) as needed and can also be raised to fully “open up” a window.
Wood blinds offer a rich, warm, and traditional look and are a great complement to rooms in which wood is already a focal element. They can also be integrated seamlessly into a wide variety of design styles and provide a tasteful means to add a touch of sophistication to any presentation.
We offer a wide variety of wood and faux wood options in slat widths ranging from 1-inch to 2-1/2 inches.
