| Shutters
Shutters or “plantation shutters” as they are also called, are most commonly made of wood and are essentially louvered blinds inset into a frame to make a panel. Each panel (or combination of panels) is, in turn, mounted to the window frame with hinges. Shutters afford the appearance of a fixed or permanent treatment, although the hinges allow the panels to be opened as needed. Shutter panels can be configured in a number of ways according to the demands of the window environment to provide the most fluid appearance.
The Blinds Connection has an excellent and growing selection of available shutter options in both real wood, composite materials, and combinations that incorporate cellular or woven wood insets.
Why do people like shutters?
